Headcoach James Sinclair verzichtet auf Rückkehr nach Dornbirn
James Sinclair, der Headcoach der BSC Dornbirn Indians der letzten Jahren, lehnte das Angebot des Indians Management aus persönlichen Gründen ab und entschied sich für eine Rückkehr nach Kanada.
In der Saison 2000 kam James das erste Mal nach Österreich als er die Trainerposition bei den Dornbirner Softballerinnen, den Sharx, übernahm. Zu dieser Zeit war er zudem auch schon als Assistent-Coach für das Baseball Farmteam, die Dornbirn Redskins, tätig und wechselte dann in der Saison 2002 endgültig ins Baseballlager. Unter seiner Aufsicht entwickelten sich einige der vielversprechensten Baseballtalente Österreichs zu Stammspielern in der Indians Aufstellung. In all den Jahren war James immer für seine Teams da und unterstütze die Mannschaften in allen Belangen, sei es beim Rasenmähen am Platz oder beim ordentlichen Feiern nach erreichten Erfolge.
Unter James Leitung gewannen die Indians 2003 den Meistertitel und die Sharx wurden 2000 sowie 2001 Vizestaatsmeisterinnen.James Sinclair, BSC Dornbirn Indians Headcoach throughout the last couple of years will not return to Dornbirn after he rejected the offer by the Indians management due to personal reasons.
In 2000 James made his inaugural appearance in Austria by taking over the coaching position with the BSC Dornbirn softball team, the Sharx. During his time with the softball team James already worked with the baseball farm team, the Redskins, and finally switched completly to the baseball section in 2002. In his hands some of the baseball youth players developed steadily and turned to starters for the Indians ABL team in the end. Moreover James helped our teams not only regarding baseball issues but also supported the team to maintain our field. Furthermore we always enjoyed James' company while hanging out and celebrating the achieved successes.
Under James' management the Indians won the Austrian Baseball League in 2003 and the Sharx were only beaten in the finals in consecutive years in 2000 and 2001.
